Sponsorship Basics

Understanding what sponsorships are.

A Sponsorship Relationship is defined as; a business relationship between a provider of funds, resources, and/or services and an individual, team, event, or organization which offers in return, rights and association that may be used for commercial advantage in return for the sponsorship investment. The Objective of the Sponsorship Relationship is to raise awareness of a brand, to build an image, promote a new product or provide premium advertising for a company through the exclusive or otherwise, use of your racing efforts.

Auto Racing is one of the largest advertising venues available today and most savvy companies know this. They pay for advertising rights with your race team, you in turn, get the funding and/or services that you need to stay competitive. It's a swap of what you have for what you need!

It is important to remember, there are two parts to any Sponsorship Relationship. One is the advertising that you can offer a potential sponsor. The other is what a potential sponsor offers you in exchange for your advertising potential. You'll read about all of the advertising opportunities that you can offer in the J3 Racing E-book.
