Allow me to introduce J3 Racing Inc. |
|
We are a group of computer professionals who got together and formed a company called The J3 Office Automation Company. We formed this company for the sole purpose of helping the little guy to get their business or organization on the Internet and into the computer age for less than anyone else. Once we started, it just grew and grew. As a side interest, I love Auto Racing and have been involved with it for most of my life. My family has always been in the automotive business. I have been around racing all of my life. I started out in an old dirt car that my Dad owned. He built engines at Simmons Motors in Smiths, Alabama for 45 years and knew exactly how to build winners that were legal. My brothers and I smoked the dirt tracks of the Southeast when we were growing up. Later on, I bought my first paved track car. It was a 1982 model Chevy Camaro. I ran it with the number 45 on it for 2 years in the Super Stocks Division of the old ARA Racing Series. A while later, I bought my first Pure Stock car and hired a driver, making me a full-fledged owner. I ran two race teams in two separate divisions for two more years. Visit Loose Nuts Racing. Then I got an opportunity and jumped the pit wall, as it were. I was offered a position on the Track Officiating Team at the Famed Montgomery Motor Speedway in Montgomery Alabama. I started out as a Tech Inspector. I inspected chassis setups, engines, carburetors, and essential safety equipment. I worked in other positions on the team as well. I’ve served as the Stop N Go guy at the end of pit road. This was by far the most unnerving spot on the track. Having cars coming straight at you is probably one of the most dangerous jobs at the track. Later I drove a Pace Car for the Pinton Speedway in Alabama. I later served as the Pit Boss at the East Alabama Motor Speedway. Then I got a call to become the Race Director back at the Montgomery Motor Speedway. I held this position for 5 years. I also worked as the Assistant Track Manager, in charge of Race Promotions. I have worked at several other tracks over the years. I am now a NASCAR Licensed Track Official and have worked several Cup races at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, Talladega Super Speedway, and at Daytona Super Speedway. I’ve been a mechanic, a pit crewmember, a driver, an owner, a tech inspector, a pace car driver, a race director, a track manager, a sports writer, a racing reporter, and a PR representative. I’ve pretty much seen it all! I learned numerous lessons along the way. I’ve been with teams who seem to have an endless supply of money and I’ve been with teams who hardly had enough to pay for fuel and tires. I’ve seen how successful teams operate and how they go about acquiring good sponsorship. I understand how it all works and began to tell others about what I’ve learned. I’ve held numerous seminars for drivers and owners in order to teach them the right way to obtain the financial backing they need to succeed. That is what this site is all about. I wanted to present this information in a format that would be readily available to all drivers, owners, and promoters. I wanted it to be easy to learn and most important, I wanted it to be affordable. I think we have succeeded in doing it all. This program is designed to teach you the right way to approach potential sponsors and to be armed with all the right information and tools to convince them that this type of business relationship can be profitable for all involved.
